Linocut print on handmade paper in a limited edition of 27.

Size: DIN A5 (15 × 21 cm), print area approx. 18 × 11 cm.

Each print is handmade in my studio in Austria and comes with the following features:
  • cotton paper with natural deckle edges,
  • colored with black oil based ink,
  • printed by hand with my printing press,
  • numbered, signed and embossed on the front.
Motif
Orcas, also known as killer whales, are highly respected by indigenous communities in Canada and North America as they are seen as guardians of cosmic knowledge. As apex predators of the sea, they are also associated with the underworld and are feared hunters. Their scientific name, "Orcinus orca," is derived from the Roman god of the underworld, "Orcus," also known as Hades in Greece.

Please note: Paper texture and shape vary through the creation process and are unique to each sheet. Slight deviations in intensity and color may occur. Framing not included.
